When a major international gathering runs several forums at once, the broadcast challenge grows fast. Each session has its own speakers, schedule, audience, tone, and technical needs. One missed cue can affect people in the room and viewers following from elsewhere.

On 48 hours notice, BakanalTV was engaged to multicast CHOGM26’s parallel forums, and the team delivered with flying colors. The assignment called for much more than sending video to multiple places. It called for:

  1. Sending video from multiple places TO multiple places, all at the SAME TIME!

  2. Making these feeds readily available to a global audience.

  3. A unified delivery pipeline and interface that enabled seamless engagement.

This required steady production planning, fast coordination, reliable signal management, and the calm judgment that live events demand.

The assignment went beyond a standard live stream

A smooth multicast depends on clear signals, tested paths, and calm control under pressure.

A single live stream already carries risk. Multiple streams, across parallel forums on multiple channels adds more layers of complexity.

BakanalTV had to support a program where more than one session could be active, with content moving through different channels and audiences following from different points. That kind of setup needs multiple production teams that can see the full event picture while still managing the small details: audio levels, camera feeds, transitions, backup paths, timing, and platform readiness.

Within 48 hours BakanalTV was able to assemble several teams of local video and streaming providers. In collaboration with The Visual Echo, Francis Media Productions and state-run media - Antigua Broadcasting Service (ABS) - BakanalTV was able to engineer a multi-feed ingestion pipeline into its Global Distribution Platform (the Beast), and a workflow to fan those signals out on dedicated discreet channels to the myriad of BakanalTV outlets - including AppleTV, Amazon Fire Stick, Roku and Mobile Apps.

Why multicast coverage matters for parallel forums

For CHOGM26, the parallel forums formed an important part of the wider program. They allowed more voices, more topics, and more communities to take part in the conversation. and create space for focused conversations that might not fit inside the main plenary format.

They can support wider participation, highlight sector-specific concerns, and let different groups follow the topics most relevant to them.

The challenge is that parallel sessions can compete for attention. If content stays locked inside one room, only the people physically present can benefit from it. Multicast coverage changes that. BakanalTV’s role helped make that access possible by carrying forum content beyond single rooms and helping remote audiences follow the discussions as they happened. Live production rewards preparation. It also tests it. CHOGM26’s parallel forums needed both!

What BakanalTV brought to the CHOGM26 forums

The phrase “multicast partner” can sound simple, but the role carries real weight. It sits at the intersection of production, engineering, communication, and event operations.

For CHOGM26’s parallel forums, BakanalTV brought a practical mix of skills that live forum coverage depends on.

Clear production coordination

Parallel programming requires a shared sense of timing. Sessions can start late, speakers can change order, and rooms can move from quiet panels to high-energy exchanges within minutes. A multicast team must stay close to the event flow and respond quickly without creating confusion.

BakanalTV’s work supported that need. The team helped keep feeds aligned with the live program and made sure the viewing experience stayed coherent across the forums.

Strong signal management

Good live coverage starts with clean inputs. That means camera signals, sound sources, presentation feeds, and output destinations must all be checked and managed with care.

A weak link can create visible problems. Audio can drift. A feed can freeze. A wrong source can go live. A session can start before the distribution path is ready.

BakanalTV’s delivery reflected the discipline needed to reduce those risks. The team managed the technical flow so the forums could be carried with confidence.

Adaptation under live conditions

No major event runs in a perfectly straight line. The best teams expect change and build room for it. A speaker may run over time. One room may need extra support.

A cue may arrive late. A signal may need to be rerouted. A moderator may move faster than expected.

BakanalTV’s success rested not only on equipment, but on people who knew how to read the moment and act. That is one of the clear marks of a capable live production partner.

Respect for the content

Forum coverage is not only technical. It also requires care for the subject matter. The production should support the discussion rather than distract from it.

That means clear audio, steady framing, readable visuals, and transitions that feel natural. It also means understanding that each forum audience is there for the ideas, not the equipment behind the room.

BakanalTV’s multicast work helped keep the focus where it belonged, on the conversations taking place across CHOGM26’s parallel forums.

The result was a confident delivery for CHOGM26

The strongest statement about BakanalTV’s work is the simplest one: the team was engaged to multicast CHOGM26’s parallel forums, and it delivered.

That outcome matters because high-level events cannot treat live coverage as an afterthought. The forums needed a partner able to carry multiple streams of content with care. BakanalTV met that need and helped the program reach beyond the limits of each room.

The delivery also showed the value of choosing a partner that understands both technology and event rhythm. Live production is full of moving parts, but it is also full of human moments. A speaker begins. A moderator pivots. A panel runs long. A discussion gains energy. The production team has to follow all of it without breaking the audience’s connection to the content.

BakanalTV’s work supported those moments. The team helped keep the forums available, watchable, and professionally managed.

For an event like CHOGM26, that is not a small achievement.

A milestone worth recognizing

BakanalTV’s role as CHOGM26 parallel forums multicast partner deserves recognition because it reflects trust, preparation, and proven delivery. The team stepped into a demanding assignment and carried it through with skill.

For BakanalTV, the engagement stands as a strong marker of capability. For CHOGM26, it meant the parallel forums had the technical support needed to reach wider audiences with confidence.

Live events are judged in the moment. There is no pause button, no second chance, and no room for guesswork once the program is underway. BakanalTV met that standard and delivered with flying colors.

The takeaway is clear: when parallel forums need dependable multicast coverage, the right production partner and delivery platform make all the difference!
